About Ed

Originally from Melbourne, Australia I have been a professional opera singer and photographer for the past 20 and 10 years respectively. The UK has been my home for the past 13 years, first in London and now Cardiff.

I always had an interest in photography when I was growing up. Street photography is where it started for me as I love 'people watching'. There's something fascinating, beautiful and genuine about seeing people going about their lives, simply being themselves. Throughout all my photographic work, I aim to bring this simplicity and authenticity to the forefront of my shooting style.

I have been fortunate to have my operatic and photographic lives so intertwined. From my early days of shooting headshots for my fellow singers, my portfolio has since expanded to include actors, dancers, conductors, répétiteurs and instrumentalists, in addition to shooting rehearsals, costume portraits and behind the scenes content and corporate headshots for various performing arts organisations.
